Adobe CEO talks about Flash, iPhone and competing with Microsoft

The Guardian published a piece yesterday following an interview with Adobe CEO Shantanu Narayen; the article contains a number of quotes from Shantanu in which he clearly articulates how Silverlight is failing to compete with Flash, why Flash currently isn’t on the Apple iPhone and how he thinks Adobe will fair in the current economic uncertainty. Definitely recommended reading over on the Guardian website.

  2. Scott Barnes says:

    Failing?

Is that why MAX2008 keynote was Adobe’s redo on MIX07? For a failing product, Adobe seem extremly reactive to our prescence in the market place and after watching MAX2008 unfold i simply shook my head. It’s clear there is a lot of denial, and given your history with both companies I’m utterly shocked to hear you echo this?

  3. No commentary was made here – simply picking up an article that might be of interest to readers here. I’ll leave them to decide whether they agree or disagree with the contents of the article.

note: I’ll also highlight here for the record that Scott Barnes works for Microsoft.
